About the Piece
INTERLOCK begins with separate pieces. Strips of reclaimed tyre tube are carefully woven and connected, each one relying on the next to create the bag's distinctive structure. What begins as individual fragments becomes a strong, intricate whole. The open construction allows the making to remain visible, every crossing, connection and space between the material becomes part of the design. Generous enough for everyday essentials, market finds or a day outside. Separate by origin. Stronger together.
No Two Are Exactly Alike
Reclaimed tyre tubes carry traces of their previous life. Subtle differences in texture, markings and surface character are natural to the material and mean your piece may differ slightly from the one photographed.
These variations are part of the piece, not defects.
Care
Treat gently and keep away from prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and harsh chemicals. Clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. As each piece is made from reclaimed material, natural variations, marks and changes over time are to be expected. They are part of what makes every ReUp piece unique.
